Why are you not taking the subway? It's $2.90 subway +$4.25 air train to Jamaica station to catch the E or the J/Z. You can shave 20min by using the LIRR into Penn for $5 extra. Public transport is about 45min. Plus, when is your NYC gathering?

In Australia in the summer. Many of us will go to the bottle shop, where you buy alcohol, and have a quick trip in the walk in fridge.

in Germany: if you can, get into a Metro store (the big gastronomy supplier, not a underground train), and spend some time in the meat/dairy section. it's basically a huge refrigerated room, and you can just act like you're comparing lots of products, checking ingredients and stuff, you could totally spend half an hour in there without anyone asking questions. They do require you to have a business though, but there's ways around that.

Just pretend you're one of those incognito asset protection people if staff tell you to stop loitering.

Very cool to do, but about the worst way to travel from an emissions viewpoint! Also shame you still need a car to get to the helicopter, and a taxi when you get to the city. Airtrain and subway will beat a taxi every time, and probably give the helicopter a run for its money. Google maps says it can be cycled in 1:20. Would be tempted to travel light and pack a Brompton!
